This yarn is a top of the range world class yarn! It comes from goats from the Patagonia region of Argentina, raised in freedom, whose fibers are collected by their shepherds throughout the province of Neuquén. All fibers are submited to a "descerdado" process (removing thicker and shorter hairs) to eliminate the itching effect giving the yarn a soft touch and superior comfort levels. Spinning is produced at the model plant in the city of Chos Malal, Neuquén.
Merino Wool fiber is the fines sheep wool available. It is characterized by is softness and for being hypoalergenic, reason why it is recommended for child garments and for sensitive skin users. It is also recommended for outdoor activities as it has great thermic capacity and lets the body "breath". This yarn can also be used as base for home dyeing!
All the fiber that is used to make the yarn is 100% of animal origin, without dyeing processes! The color of the yarn is the result of the combination of the natural fibers of several animals, so the shades between different batches may vary!

The origin of the fibers used are the result of the TRASHUMANCE technique.
This means that the animals are raised in freedom, grazing and walking through the Patagonian fields with their shepherds, or "gauchos" as they are called there, who lead a semi-nomadic life by regularly taking them to fertile land in the region
The HUELLAS spinning mill has its production in the city of Chos Malal very close to the Andes Mountains and to the north of the province of Neuquén. Very close to where the animals are raised and where the fibers with which they work are collected and classified. Its objective is to value, dignify, respect and disseminate the work of local farmers and the precious fibers available in the region: Guanaco, Llama, Goats, Sheeps and Rabbit.
They respect and value a dignified and ancestral way of life, with values that try to last over time. Paying a fair price for their work and contributing to improve their quality of life.
As his slogan says: "we spin dreams, we leave traces"
